Well, after getting my car jumped and back to civilization for a bit, I grabbed a shower at another Anytime Fitness in Marquette, did a load of laundry at a laundromat, mailed a letter I had forgotten to drop in the post, and then discovered I had a "Low Tire Pressure" notice on my dashboard. Fortunately there was a Pomp's Tire Service around the corner from the post office. I only had to wait an hour and a half before they got me on the road once more with a patched tire (nail puncture), and was finally on my way to my next campsite.

I got there late enough in the day that the host of the property said, "You got here so late, why don't you stay one more day for free." What an amazing surprise for such a tumbled-up day. It was such a lovely spot on Milakokia Lake I ended up taking her up on it. I was able to back my car right up to the water. I spent a good chunk of time just sitting and enjoying listening to the waves lap on the shore, but I did take a brief jaunt out onto the lake with one of her kayaks. Did I mention how much I love being on the water? happy sigh

IKEA Step Stool

This has been a life-saver. Crawling up into the back of the car is actually kind of difficult. This stool is just enough to make it do-able without making me feel like I'm rock climbing every time I get in (especially if I have to get out an back in in the middle of the night!
